In my opinion, it is the most needed coverage available. Whether you or a parent is injured, sick, or just becoming unable to care for themselves, the costs are enormous. Currently most people are paying between $3000.00 to $5000.00 per month to be cared for and this can go on from months to years, possibly until the final chapter, death. Most folks go broke within months and have to apply for Welfare which is totally inadequate to care for a person with any dignity or decorum at all. To get Medicaid(welfare) one has to spend down their own assets until left with only a few thousand dollars or less. I've seen countless families struggling with these enormous bills and it just gets worse all the time. A properly insured person only has to worry about getting well, or at least being happy and comfortable. The insurance will pay the monthly expenses for as long as you live and need benefits. This applies to , not only institutional care such as a nursing home or an assisted living facility, but also being cared for in one's own home. I'll gladly travel to your own home and take a while getting to know you and exactly what you need before making any recommendations whatsoever. I've never pressured anyone ,feeling it to be much better simply to know all the relevant facts, the best companies and coverages available, and let the facts speak for themselves.
